Changzhou Toshiba Successfully Signed Shengli Power Plant Project Contract with Shenhua Group

With the arrival of 67th birthday of our motherland, our company received a great news. We signed a formal contract with Shenhua North Power Shengli Energy Co., Ltd. of Shenhua Group for delivery of 2 sets of main transformers for 660MW power unit to Shenhua Shengli Power Plant, adding great momentum to Changzhou Toshiba and providing strong support for transformation and upgrade .

With development and gradual maturity of Ultra-high voltage (UHV) technology, Shenhua Shengli Power Plant, in reply to the demand of state energy policies, initiated the project in June, 2015 for design of long-distance UHV power transmission program. Outlet voltage of the power plant was also directly upgraded from the originally designed 500kV to 1000kV, causing corresponding changes in outlet voltage of the main transformer. The technical requirements and schemes of the main transformers faced great changes: two sets of three-phase transformers should be replaced by 6 sets of single-phase transformers, and the specifications should be changed into DFP-265MVA/1000kV. The proprietor met with design institute and our company to sign the Technical Contract for UHV Main Transformers in November, 2015.

Shengli Power Plant has applied the innovative design to compose a unit by five towers, with two electric generators in each tower. The design has a landmark significance, as it has never been utilized in China before. In order to carry out renovation, development and production of the main transformers, senior management of our company has paid high attention to the project. Business Operation Department and Technical Department have taken great efforts to visit the site for many times and discussed with the client and design institute for details in all respects, and successfully signed the contract in the end.
