Changzhou Toshiba Transformer Co., Ltd. is located in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province, China's Yangtze River Delta area. The company was established in August 1995 and started production in May 1997. Its total investment has reached $ 65 million, including $ 33 million registered capital from Shandong Electrical & Electronics Group Co., Ltd., Japan Toshiba Corporation and Toshiba (China)Co., Ltd. As China's first 500kV power transformer manufacturing joint venture, the company has earned the honor of “National Environment-friendly Enterprise”.
The company produces large-scale power transformers and transmission switching device components. At present, its annual production capacity has reached 65gva and the products are mainly large power transformers under 1000MVA/1000kV. By December 2012, 1195 sets of transformers have been finished and delivered to customers both at home and abroad, with capacity reaching 398GVA. In addition, GIS switch operating device, instrument transformer and control cabinet developed for power transmission lines have been put into operation since May 2007.

Under this circumstance and with the effort of all staff, the company has achieved great performance in developing and manufacturing typical TOSHIBA power transformers. Many projects, such as ASA (Advanced Site Assembly) transformer and 110kV gas insulated transformers, have become new breakthroughs in the industry. Since its opening, the company has been applying ISO9001 Quality Assurance System for production. In 1999, it was authorized by the Swiss SGS company quality system and obtained ISO9001 international certificate. It was accredited by ISO14001 Environment Management System in 2000 and OHSMS18000 Safety Management System in 2002.
