363kV Voltage Transformer Passed Type Test Successfully

At the end of November, 2013, switch division received an order for 363kV voltage transformer from Huan County, Gansu Province. This is the first order of 363kV voltage transformer since the operation of switch division. The altitude of Huan County, Gansu Province is three kilometers and the lowest temperature will be minus 30℃, so this is also the first order from high-altitude and arctic-alpine region.

In consideration of arduousness of this project, the technical department, as the sponsor, established detailed working plan and clarified concrete countermeasures to ensure that the type test can be completed before March. The countermeasures mainly involve: I. Technology: covering technical confirmation with customers, designs of product and test tooling; II. Type test application: covering the preparation of relevant documentation for type test application, confirmation of technical issues and schedule with type test organ; III. Procurement of spare parts: to ensure that all the spare parts can arrive at switch division on time; IV. Manufacture: completing the manufacture of prototype and initial test pursuant to quality requirement. With our common efforts, the assembly of 363kV prototype and in-factory initial test was completed on January 20, 2014; the type test application was approved on February 12; the voltage transformer passed national type test at the first attempt from February 17 to February 28.

The fact that this prototype has successfully passed the type test which fills in gaps in 363kV voltage transformer of Changzhou Toshiba, demonstrates our first-class design & manufacture capacity of voltage transformer, and lays a solid foundation for bidding and production of 363kV voltage transformer in 2014.
