China’s Largest Capacity 1330MVA Main Transformer —— Smoothly Passed the Test in Changzhou Toshiba

Under the whole-process on-site supervision of the user and the third-party electric power company, the 1330MVA/500kV three-phase integrated main transformer, with the largest capacity ever produced in China, passed all the plant test smoothly on February 9. This transformer was produced by Changzhou Toshiba for the 7th Project of mega-kilowatt supercritical unit engineering in Java, Indonesia, which was part of the “The Belt & Road” Initiative. The successful R & D and manufacture of this transformer helps Changzhou Toshiba accumulate rich experience in design, manufacture and other critical technologies of transformers of ultra-large generators,and take the lead in the market competition of ultra-large transformer products in the industry .

As the main transformer of the Java project is a three-phase integrated product with the largest capacity ( 1330MVA ) ever manufactured by Changzhou Toshiba so far, Design Department and Production Department pay great attention to the product. To meet the high design standard and the proprietor's strict demand, all the departments closely cooperate with each other and make all-out efforts to solve various problems, such as the issue of fuel tank hotspot caused by large capacity and high current. Through multi-party verification, the technical personnel finally determine the design plan with safety and reliability. In the aspect of contract execution, quality management & control, logistics management & control, on-site cooperation and schedule control, staff from all the departments adhere to the high standard and strict demand, cooperate with each other and overcome difficulties, control all the key points in full scale, take care of all the details attentively, and earnestly guarantee "five protections" ( protection against ultraviolet light, high temperature, high humidity, salt mist and thunderstorm ) and achieve "four zero" (no defect, no missing part, no delay, no damaged good). Through innovation and strive for excellence, we fulfill various targets such as safety, reliability, high efficiency, emission reduction, etc. All the performance indicators shown in the product test exceed the standard and demand, which is highly approved by the user. We smoothly achieve the significant target of "passing the test directly", and make a positive contribution to the development of this project.

This is the demonstration project for linking of China’s “ The Belt & Road ” Initiative and Indonesia’s “Global Maritime Axis” Strategy. After completion, this project will play an important role in the local  economic development of Indonesia, and its significance of demonstration will promote in-depth cooperation in follow-up investment and development between China and Indonesia.
