Zhang Wenxing Solved the Problem of Core Shearing of UHV Prototype

The development and manufacturing of our company’s first UHV prototype has been in full swing at present. As China’s first UHV prototype with ASA structure, the prototype features advantages of impact body, small transport weight, low transport cost, etc., and also faces various kinds of difficulties, among which the predominant one is shearing and programming problems caused by complicated sheet pattern of silicon steel sheet. Confronted with difficulties of short delivery time, heavy task and knotty situation, Zhang Wenxing of Georg line is daring to take on the heavy job, makes efforts to embrace changes and pursues creative thinking, thus finally successfully solving the problem of core shearing of UHV prototype and getting out of the predicament of production stagnation. Zhang Wenxing has been awarded the honor of“General Manager Award”.

UHV transformer has quite high demand for the quality of silicon steel sheet. The sheet pattern is different from the core piece used before, while there are great differences in devices, shearing procedures, manufacturing process, operation method, etc. between the Georg line equipment used by our company at present and those used by other companies in the industry. When receiving the UHV manufacturing drawings, workers finds out that the Georg line equipment of our company cannot cut the steel sheets. What’s to be done? As UHV is a key product which determines the future development of our company, there is no escape route. We can only bravely march forward. After carefully analyzing the design drawings, Zhang Wenxin firmly decides to move forward. He goes to Shandong, Wukuang XD and other places to acquaint himself with the related condition of UHV products on site, refers to and compares the drawings one by one, and carries out programming one after another. Taking advantages of intervals between shearing other products, he leads team members to repeatedly shear, connect and modify the products. Hard work finally pays off. Under the unremitting efforts of Zhang Wenxing, the shearing procedures have been successfully programmed at the end. Afterwards, Zhang Wenxing and design personnel prepare the operation disc together.

As there are various categories of sheet patterns, all kinds of unexpected problems emerge in an endless stream during the shearing process. There are difficulties one after another. What’s the problem? How to solve the next problem? Zhang Wenxing ponders over the matters constantly, sometimes he even stays awake at night. With continuous adjustment of thoughts, the problems have been solved one by one. After the completion of shearing of all steel patterns, Zhang Wenxing still conscientiously tracks and guides core process operation to guarantee smooth production. The completion of stacking, piece inserting and stand-up of products marks the success of special sheet pattern program independently programmed by Zhang Wenxing. Batch production can be carried out on site, which greatly facilitates the shortening of product shearing cycle.

In recent days, the core stem enwound by the reprogrammed UHV silicon steel sheets independently sheared by our company has successfully passed test. This is a milestone in the production process of UHV prototype and a great breakthrough in design programming, revealing innovation and aggressiveness of Changzhou Toshiba employees.
