Production of Ultra-high Voltage Prototype Has Successfully Taken the First Step

With completion of modulation coil enwinding for ultra-high voltage (uhv) prototype, the production of our company’s first double-million transformer has successfully taken the first step. This is a step anticipated by Changzhou Toshiba employees for a long time, and also a step with historical significance for Changzhou Toshiba products in upgrading and development in uhv orientation.

Research and development of uhv transformer is an important strategic orientation of our company, whose significance is self-evident. It is especially important to guarantee R & D of prototype and scientifically arrange production plan. Production Management Department takes the whole production condition into account and plans accordingly to categorize production plan of prototype as a medium-term one. The whole production plan has a time span of 7 months. Compared with production cycle of common transformer, it is like a protracted warfare. Therefore, we should advance gradually and consolidate at every step, conquer every problem, unite and cooperate with each other, and do our best to fight the protracted war.

From the production scheduling plan for different stages, we can see that the production time in plan of uhv prototype coincides with production period of converter transformer, while the demand for delivery time of converter transformer is quite strict. The two projects both have strict requirements for utilization of dust-proof room and site, as well as other aspects. Coupled with production of conventional products, how to improve cooperation, turnover and utilization of equipment, site, etc. has become a vital issue. In the face of multiple difficulties, proper planning serves as the direction to maximize production efficiency. After research and communication with multiple departments with great efforts, production scheduling plan has become increasingly reasonable. As it is our first time to manufacture double-million transformer, some unknown problems concerning details may occur during the process of production, which posing a severe challenge to timely solving of on-site problems. Completion of modulation coil enwinding earlier is the first step in successful manufacturing of uhv products by Changzhou Toshiba. At present, the main transformer coil, whose production has higher demand for technical process, is in the process of enwinding in a smooth manner.

Uhv production is a challenge to the overall strength of Changzhou Toshiba. Now, as product manufacturing has already started, we should coordinate and arrange schedule of different production processes according to actual production condition. Production Management Department has determination and confidence to guarantee timely delivery of products by scientific scheduling!
