Corporation Leaders Visit Our Company to Promote Production Preparation for Ultra-high Voltage Products

On November 27, 2014, Deputy General Manager Zhao Yongzhi, Chief Accountant Wang Huimin, Deputy Chief Engineer Wang Chengyu and Deputy Director of Production and Quality Center Li Chuping of Toshiba Corporation visited our company to provide instruction to our work. General Manager Takeo Shoji, Executive Deputy General Manager Zhou Hongxing, Chief Accountant Ma Zengjian, Chief Engineer Xu Bo, Senior Director of Process Department of Shandong Power Equipment Co., Ltd. Yan Zihong and related department heads of our company attended the report meeting.

During the visit, General Manager Zhao pointed out that they visited Changzhou Toshiba to see the promotion of ultra-high voltage (uhv) project. Focusing on the large-scale construction of uhv project of State Grid and its rapid development, participants fully discussed the issues concerning substantial orders of uhv project and first-phase preparation for engagement in large-scale construction of State Grid uhv project, studied the problems, put forward specific solutions, and developed a work plan for the next phase.

After full investigation, General Manager Zhao delivered an important speech. He emphasized that: firstly, we shall enhance opportunity awareness regarding importance of State Grid uhv project to the development and progress of our enterprise. Uhv project construction of State Grid has ushered electric power construction and development of our nation into the world’s advanced level, and has brought great opportunities to revitalize national industry, especially for manufacturing enterprises of power transmission and transformation equipment. The enterprise shall upgrade concepts and closely follow new demands and circumstances in the market to realize new development. Secondly, facing significant opportunities, Changzhou Toshiba shall be daring to accept challenges and shall enter the new area earlier than other joint ventures. At present, State Grid uhv project has already launched large-scale construction, "four AC lines and five DC lines" and follow-up uhv projects. The dramatic increase in the demand of uhv products brings both opportunity and challenge to Changzhou Toshiba as a joint venture. Compared with other joint ventures, Changzhou Toshiba is endowed with many advantages, and shall attach great importance to the project to make plans in advance, build up confidence, create favorable conditions and take the initiative to face the challenge. We shall grasp the opportunity of large-scale construction of uhv project, and enter uhv market as early as possible compared with other joint ventures. Thirdly, two enterprises of Corporation which are specialized in transformer industry sector shall be highly coordinated in the production of uhv products. Toshiba Corporation has attached great importance to the mass production of uhv products by holding consecutive meetings to promote mass production of uhv products, carrying out careful research and integrated coordination regarding cooperation between equipment companies and Changzhou Toshiba, and putting forward requirements. It is the great concern and expectation of Corporation to see Changzhou Toshiba to enter the field of uhv project construction as early as possible. From an overall point of view, Corporation has coordinated two unconventional (quasi-uhv) products from equipment companies to Changzhou Toshiba to prepare for the following manufacturing of uhv products. Fourthly, there are several specific job requirements for Changzhou Toshiba. First, Changzhou Toshiba shall follow the market with focus on uhv products orders, which will be fully supported by Corporation, and shall be more closely combined with the market and more competitive in product marketing strategy; second, Changzhou Toshiba shall actively promote State Grid bidding qualification for uhv products to grasp opportunities for prototype manufacturing; third, Changzhou Toshiba shall frequently communicate with equipment companies in the field of uhv technology and vigorously participate in the uhv products mass production of Corporation; fourth, Changzhou Toshiba shall complete manufacturing of products coordinated by Corporation on time, fulfilling both quality and quantity requirements; fifth, Changzhou Toshiba shall solve problems concerning technology, market, capacity, etc. of uhv by the above measures, and organize experts visit to promote manufacturing capacity of uhv products.

General Manager Takeo Shoji reported promotion and implementation of uhv production and planning schedule of two unconventional (quasi-uhv) products.
